University of Texas Signature Course in Philanthropy:  the Power of Giving

Entering freshmen at UT are required to take a "signature course" which transcends traditional departments and disciplines.  Professors from all areas may propose signature courses.  For the past two years there has been an offering in Philanthropy.  A foundation has provided a corpus, and the students have considered how to give it away.  While we cannot come close to the $100,000 that the anonymous foundation has channeled, the program is seeking gifts from additional sources, and a contribution from another foundation would establish a precedent, and we might get some guidance in exchange.  Category it falls under?  Whatever we stipulate.
